Preventative Maintenance

Water damage is the #1 chimney problem for homeowners.  The chimney rarely gets inspected by a thorough professional and is, normally, not checked out by the homeowner.  If water damage is not arrested in time, the size of the repair job increases quickly and so does the cost.  Prevention is the key.  Every flue on a chimney needs an animal proof rain cap.  Most chimney crowns require waterproofing.    When these two items are completed, the longevity of the chimney is greatly increased, saving you thousands of dollars in repairs.

Water damage also occurs when chimney flashing leaks.  Chimney flashing is inspected during every job.  Minor flaws are either fixed for free or for little cost.
